The automotive industry moves to the new Catena-X data exchange standard. As the entry use case, company certificates can be uploaded and managed through Catena-X to qualify for all future supplier tenders – reducing time and improving efficiency.
A hundred portals in one
Certificate Management through Catena-X means using a single and safe data space, accessible to all authorized participants and partners – instead of having to manually maintain dozens of customer portals. This decreases personnel cost, minimizes the risk of missing or expired certificates, and ensures effortless future compliance.
The Catena-X certificate standard supports most of the certificates commonly required by major companies in their tender processes. As part of the initial transition, BMW requires only a small set of certificates to be shared via Catena-X:
