ONCITE digital production system from GEC now available on Cofinity-X

ONCITE DPS by GEC launches on Cofinity-X

ONCITE DPS Track & Trace from German Edge Cloud (GEC) is now available on the Cofinity-X marketplace. The solution offers manufacturing companies in the automotive sector a practical way to improve transparency, efficiency and traceability. It supports current industry needs related to complex supply chains, high quality standards and regulatory requirements. ONCITE DPS was recently recertified according to Catena-X standards and aligns with the expectations of the ecosystem.

Bernd Kremer, COO Industrial Solutions of German Edge Cloud:

“The automotive sector is undergoing significant transformation. The pressure to improve efficiency, meet regulatory expectations and enable innovation continues to grow. Digital process solutions and secure data exchange between suppliers and OEMs are becoming essential. ONCITE DPS contributes to these goals. The Catena-X recertification confirms we are on the right path.”

The Catena-X network provides the foundation for consistent traceability. Participants use a shared ecosystem to document deployments and exchange information in a standardized way. As a founding member, GEC has contributed to the Catena-X consortium for three years. With the Catena-X-certified ONCITE DPS, GEC offers companies in the manufacturing environment a straightforward way to participate in the ecosystem and access a compliant Track & Trace solution.

Track & Trace easy to use via Cofinity-X

Dieter Meuser, CEO of German Edge Cloud:

“Cofinity-X gives us the ideal environment to offer our certified ONCITE DPS Track & Trace solution. Being part of this marketplace strengthens our positioning. The collaboration with Cofinity-X has been based on mutual trust and professionalism. We look forward to future cooperation and wish the platform continued success.”

The solution enables companies to trace components throughout the entire value chain. Using a unique ID or serial number, relevant data from sources such as sensors, IT systems, production lines and logistics systems can be recorded and connected to the component. This information forms a verified data record (Device History Record – DHR) that helps users gain insights into production and delivery processes.

Thomas Rösch, CEO of Cofinity-X:

“We at Cofinity-X appreciate the productive collaboration with German Edge Cloud and are pleased to see this solution made available in the marketplace. We look forward to continuing our partnership and to GEC’s active role in supporting the Catena-X community.”

The availability of the GEC solution on the Cofinity-X marketplace enables companies to adopt the Track & Trace application quickly and start improving their processes without delay.
